Microscopes?

Does anyone here use a microscope (outside of a germ warfare lab)?. I have always been going to get one. God knows why, maybe to read the bottom line on the bank statement?. Just another toy I want.
Question is, has the digital age made microscopes easier to use, cheaper to buy?.

decent ones? No.

But you now can get all kinds of shit that will plug into usb nowdays, like 300x zoom which you will never get on a cheap optical.

Had a kit many moons ago, fer the kids like, making slides and whatnot (glass > plastic). Quite enjoyed it, actually.
But yeah, proper glass lenses and shit, zeiss, its $

Was great for looking at insects.
Don't think mine went ultra small though.
