I was just wondering what those with some trade / retail knowledge, thought a 2012 GT650P (registered LAMS) done 11k was probably worth as a trade buy? Theres so much variance online I can't work it out?!
And look, before all the obvious posts start, yes i know it's a crap bike. its a heavy slag iron lump, not worth much, blah blah. Hence I am now hoping to sell it to fund my move upwards.
But for the record, it's been a great bike for me. A little piece of metal just fell out of the throttle body, the aftermarket exhaust slotted right on and it then had a decent amount of power and torque. Well, at least enough (more than my mates ex300 thing) to keep me going during this probationary year of riding restricted bikes.

Even if you were selling a Britten V1000, someone would come along and offer you $5 and a packet of chips, so just ignore the drivel.

I would suspect dealerships are going to offer you 4 - 5k depending on what your buying and how much money the replacement bike is putting in their pockets.

Thanks fellas. Yeah that makes sense based on some prices I guess. Gonna have to be added to the trademe scrum in spring then.

They will want see 1k profit on the bike. The problem is that if you try get that one K privately extra it could take you a while.
The ones trying for 7k wont sell. To close to the new price that includes a warranty.
Not being nasty but most shops would rather you turned up without a Hyo trade I would say. Your likely get a better deal without it.

Yeah better for them to trade for clear margins. I got all of winter to fish for a buyer.
I'll throw it up online next week and see how it goes. No way I'm gonna be allowed to buy another bike before I sell at least one.

Don't forget its not the best time to sell a bike now but it is the best time to buy one especially if your buying privately.

I to have a Hyo GT650 to sell. I would be stunned to get 3k for it.
