Hi all.
I know the 'what should I ride' topic has a few posts however I cannot find info specific to me.

Has anyone had any experience with the Yamaha R15 or Aprilia STX/ETX?
I have mainly found info from other countries and I would love to know what someone closer to home thinks.

The Yamaha is $4000 - $5000 (they had sale last year I am hoping they will repeat it)
The Aprilia is $3000

I would like to get a new bike as I've always wanted a new car but its a bit more $$ to lay down

Any info/thoughts/other options would be appreciated.

Thanks

The Hyosung x4 250 for $5500 also springs to mind however I've heard bad things about Hyosungs.

Again any input even if its just a redirect to the correct subforum would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don't know much about any of them but in that price range you could also look at the Suzuki GW250. $5k new.

Everything I've read about the GW250/Inazuma has been extremely negative, do you have personal experience?
I also found the GW a bit tall, I was essentially on my toes while sitting on it

Nah, just figured a 250 twin would be worth having over a 150 single. They're made in China but so is the Aprilia and the R15 in India.

I've read a few positive reviews on it but if you've looked at it in the flesh and didn't like it then obviously you should keep looking.

Yeah it came across abit like vanilla ice cream. .its not bad so to speak but its no chocolate chip cookie chunk banana split with extra sauce.

Basically the Aprilia is cheap enough to be interesting
the Yamaha looks good enough (IMO) and is comfortable enough to justify the price
and the hyosung gives the extra capacity.

If the V3 R15 is released here I'll likely be chasing a Black and Gold model but stil,l someone's experience outside of India or Thailand would be nice to hear about.

and sorry didnt mean to rubbish your input, I did seriously consider the Gw250
