Uh? Same place as always? Part of the outside of the building is branded Motorcycle Central Yamaha or something like that.
Unless you're talking about the website... not loading for me either.

It would appear that their Webhost is down (no response from website IP)
I can't say that I am upset by this.

The website can be quite erratic.

They missed out on a sale. Mate at work looking for tyres for his RG500. He went elsewhere.

Probably referring to the Wellytown named "Cycletreads" rather than the Auckland one.

There isn't one. I meant the website.

Well at least it matches the service in the shop. A good vacuum would be a start.

I do and I don't like cycle treads.
I do because I never seem to go over my budget.
I don't because they more often talk me out of a sale than into one.
Every time I have succeeded in buying it had been in spite of the best efforts of the team.
Until my last couple of visits they were all friendly just not very sales oriented.
My last two visits they weren't friendly either, suffice it to say between the two visits the staff on deck talked me out of spending over a grand that I then spent elsewhere.
I won't be back unless they have something for sale I can't buy elsewhere.

The TOTO discount worked well on a few occasions.

I would feel odd taking tyres into a shop to get fitted that I had ordered elsewhere. I can fit them myself but my bead breaker is less than ideal. Maybe saving a few bob isn't worth that kind of effort. Saying that I noticed a set of conti motions on tardme for 299 and that was tempting.

Your avatar keeps confusing me into thinking I've posted when I have not
Cycletreads has such a high turn-over of staff, and so many of them, that it's hard to figure out who the customers are. Especially since their knowledge of their product and computer systems seems pretty weak...
Happy to drop in for something I need if they have it and no one else does, but I'm never getting them to fit tyres for me again if they can't inflate them correctly.

I want to like cycletreads - it almost proves itself to be a really good all round store whenever I am there, and then there are always a couple of staff that just make me go "meh.... fuck off"

Spare a thought for me living in the deepest wilds of Coromandel (cue sounds of banjos ). My nearest tyre dealer is the Drury Performance Centre, just over 130 km away. The redeeming thing is that those guys give top service - always obliging and helpful. Recently booked the bike in for new rubber, chain and sprockets. I was on my way again around an hour and a quarter after arriving. It's great when you can build relationships like that.

like most shops nowdays you have to call and make sure the person is looking at what you want is there on the shelf.
Half the stuff on the website they don't stock in the shop, you cant even go into the shop and order some stuff you have seen on the website, even worse the website still has stuff on it they don't even deal in anymore, crazy way to run a business.

Uptight people will always find fault no matter what the situation, it's how their life works.
