Hi All,
Just a quick post to let you know planning for the 2015 Greymouth Street Races is well underway.
As usual it's on at Labour Weekend: Sign On Saturday 24th October, Raceday Sunday 25th October.
We hope to have a news letter out shortly, and entry forms in due course.
Usual heads up to book accommodation early, we have sorted a promo code for the ferry this year as well.
A couple of other interesting items in the pipeline as well if all goes to plan.
Flick me a PM with an email address if you want to be added to our email database.
That's about it for now, start hatching your plans to get here :niceone:
Cheers

Is there a class for pre 89 posties ?
Hi,
Not exactly, we don't run a Pre89 class.
But a Pre89 postie, depending on what it is, could enter our F1 and Formula Greymouth class, maybe BEARS, maybe F3 if it fits the specs.
Unfortunately we have a full programme, to fit a new class in we would have to drop one of the others that have been well supported for years.
cheers

I may have to get signed off to race this meeting, as I have not done enough racing lately to get an automatic STREET race entry instantly

Thank's Shaun,
Thats a good point for us to highlight again, the Rule is now under section 14.9o of the MoMs that you can lookup on line at MNZ.
Here's what is says:
14.9o Before competing in a Street Race or National Points Road Race meeting in any Championship class, a rider must have competed in at least 3 lower level Road Race circuit events within the 12 months immediately prior, or be observed by a recognised senior competitor or suitably trained MNZ Official, clearance for which must be obtained from the Road Race Commissioner, proof of this will be from entries in the logbook or of observed, written clearance from the Road Race Commissioner, only senior Championship licence holders may compete on the Streets.
OK, so checklist is:
1) Full championship licence,
2) Three entries in your logbook in the 12 months prior to the event or written approval from the Road Race Commissioner to race at the event.
Cheers

OK, finally go the green light to get the entry forms out.
I have sent out emails to riders in our data base with an entry form attached.
If you want one emailed to you flick me a PM with an email address and I will get one out.

Fingers crossed there is one attached to this message as well, that you could print out.
Don't leave it till the last minute to post them in, the mail here is as slow as a wet wig.
Please ensure they are in the post at least a week before the closing date of 10th October.
Checklist:
Current Full Championship Race Licence
Proof of 3 Meetings within the last 12 Months in your log book to go with entry form,
or written approval from the Road Race Commissioner to race.

If anybody is heading down through Bulls and has room for a RMZ450 Motard can they please PM me.
A mate needs his bike taken down. All the gear will be in a van with 2 other bikes, so bike only.
Anybody?

You could have done it like the Irish do the IOM - fishing boat from New Plymouth to Greymouth...Crossing the bar would have set you up nicely for the bumps....

lol, last time I remember an Irish man doing that, Joey and the boys lost a bit of stuff. Loads of Irish fans to come across to the TT in fishing boats for a day or few at a time though, kinda like there own Highway to world of Road racing countries, bar-stewards
