1984 CBX750 is hardly a classic (and never will be).

That's true, but this one's a classic in my book...

1955 BSA Goldstar

1974 Ducati 750 Sport

1950 Vincent Black Shadow

The bank might hiccup - but they'd be OK ... the wife would probably leave ...

Confused by the Goldie. Has the clubmans headlight brackets but no clip ons....has the bars on the top yoke clamps, wh hi means it would normally have the pressed steel headlight mounts wouldn't it?

the Vincent is described as Excellent condition.
here's what i could see that wasn't right from the piccies. buyer beware.
later model carbies,
d series hand operated centre stand
wrong size front wheel, should be 20 inch front and 19 rear, later they changed to 18 rear and 19 front (it’s got a metzeler laser which you can’t get in 20 inch)
rev counter added
incorrect dynamo, should be miller, maybe it’s a chinamo aftermarket upgrade
stainless guards, originals were alloy, birmabright, same alloy as landrover bodies
not matching numbers, i’d ask webbs for the two frame numbers, out of curiosity, let them sweat finding them
elephant trunk breather fitted to crankcases, ugly, not the answer for a well tuned bike, although it was the fad for a while to solve them breathing elsewhere.
external coils mounted on left of bike, means mag either missing or just being used as points to operate coils, ugly and not needed in this day and age. coils mounted right below fuel tap---good for fires.
mixture of alloy and stainless tommy bars on magneto cover, not attention to detail here
odd fuel tap i’ve never seen before
several extra holes in at least one footpeg plate, probably for luggage rack at one stage, not standard
incorrect dip switch
modern cables with product details in writing on them

This bunch of wally's just don't do their homework very well. I'm not a Triumph guy but that 1921 SD550 they have on their auction site which they claim to be a "Riccy" four valve (OHV) certainly appears to have only TWO SIDE VALVES. :weird::tugger::clap:

they don't want, i asked for the vincent details and he said apart from rev coutner and later frame it's all correct, sent him a list of what i posted here and he said all the parts are available from the vincent owners club.
they're representing it as a C shadow with a D chassis they're selling a D shadow with a C engine, they only made 144 D shadows. they made 1507 C shadows, they'd be better marketing it the other way around, rarer etc.

Like I said....Wally's. If he doesn't know it's got MK II Amals on it he deserves all the negative attitude he asks for.

This auction would have had plenty of overseas watchers and bidders. You know, the old "Pacific Peso" and all that.
