Why do so many sellers on Trademe insist on standing 30cm away from the bike when photographing it?

Hard to tell one from another.

Except that one has no stickers. You can't just peel them off. Why?

Dildos. Plain and simple. Pan to the right or left and you'd see the dildos running the length of the garage.

I think you may be right, i see some dodgy electrickery going on in that second pic... couple of big AC powered ones by the look.

Yes you can - I peeled all mine of very easily .. (well, it took a bit of time that's all ...)

Well you can get the silly warning stickers off, but the Bandit ones? Surely they are lacquered over? But I guess it is a Suzuki.

The old gen 1's were lacquered over. Dunno about the gen 2's
