I'm after a small headlight fairing like the one on the Robert holden bike, and a right hand side fairing, oh and a front guard.

oh and a master cylinder.

that was the fire breathing alcohol burning bike, not so easy as those bikes only had two carbs. the last time i saw that bike was in a cold kiwi hill climb, Warren Turner still has it.
the master cylinder might be the same as an early GSX750 ESD

often it's the angle of the handlebars that matters.

the bikes not here yet so I haven't even seen it, it doesn't have any discs or calipers on it either, but they were a twin disc, 2 piston set up I think.

long shot, try asking the guy where he got it from, it was hawera i think, he brought it for a midget car or something and had no interest in the brakes, they may stilll be lying in a shed somewhere.

yeah that sounds like a plan.

its more the fairing bits I'm after at this stage, as I haven't decided what I'm doing with the front wheel yet.

Give this chum a call. He supplied me the FZR front guard that was missing off the K100 racer I'm restoring. The quality was astonishing & I thought $70 was a steal.

I actually ran into Paul Taylor at Don's shop a couple of weeks ago. Still in the trade, agent for a Chinese farm quad.

I seem to remember that one of the guys who worked for him bought the lot. Probably dumped by now as no one jumped in marketing that stuff.

Yeah, Neil made using old 125 slicks on a 550 look good. I'm not generally in favour of exceeding the recommended weight for a given tyre though...Without being nasty about it, the rider alone equalled an RS125 weight (I'm probably heavier, lol...)
3.5 front,4.5 rear will give a reasonable balance of widths - not so wide it won't want to change direction - and there's good rubber availability.

Do you know if there is any preference of 4.5 inch rear that will go in?

If your existing cush drive is a 5 paddle version, you should be able to use it with most later Suzuki rears. Otherwise no preference AFAIK.
