Hi guys i am about to buy a 1999 r6, but it has no crash bungs installed, i have heard you have to drill for them on the 1999-2002 r6's, does anyone know the ideal position on the frame to mount them? any general tips and/or trick for mounting them?

If its anything like what can be done on the Honda Hornet, do not attach the crash bungs to the engine casing. If you come off and the bungs take a big hit you could crack open your engine case.

Drilling the frame is sometimes frowned upon, as you are most likely weakening the frame.
