Oooooohhhh another person close by. I'm in meadowank on Gowing drive... 190.

Good place to practise is Tamaki campus uni carpark. Just don't go fast or spend ages or security can get pissed off. The industrial area around there is great on sundays when there are no cars - you can do 140+ easy on the no exit roads there. There is also a sort of course as such where you can go around on the sideroads. If you want to meet up some time I can show you all the cool places. There are some nice twisty roads in st helliers as well. (Fern Glen and Riddell rd)

I'll be on the big huge ride tomorrow, but in the afternoon I'm free afterwards. I might do a photo session (get my dad to help) in the uni carpark. If you want to give me a private message with your cell# or some form of contact details I can get in touch with you and organise something. This monday I start a 2 week intensive theory course at ardmore so only my sundays will be free for a while.

Who shot the man?

its a figurative speech, "the man" - you stick it to "the man". so it's like he stuck it to "the man" by shooting him. make sense? :hitcher: :spudbn:

welcome by the way

Welcome - I remember saying that not too long ago. Confidence comes with practice; just be honest about your limitations!
Good luck and have fun!

I've done about 1000km and loving it too. Lucky enough to live on the edge of Howick, so the country roads to Maraetai, Clevedon etc are very close, and great to practice on!! Seen lots of bikes on these roads too, and most either wave or nod!! I have a friend who lives in St Johns who comes out riding on Sunday mornings... doesn't take him long to get out here!!

Have Fun!!

850km? me thinks you need to come and do some big long rides now.. :)

when I started riding.. I had done all of 50km on my then NEW VTR250 before heading to AutoBahn.... before following the senior KBers to do the coro loop...

Do come out on a weekend ride. you'll love it and its a great challange.

We normally go quite early Sunday morning, about 7am before the traffic, and back by 9am. I'm guessing this might be a bit early for you....PM me if you're interested

Just what I thought!! ... a bit too early for you young ones!!

Went to Kawakawa Bay tonight .... I think the roads around here are great.... if you want to do a loop you could go to Kaiaua or Miranda and head back from either via SH2.... or even just do the Twilight Road / West Road "circuit" a few times if you want to stay closer to town..

You'll find that if you love riding enough and are thrilled by going on long group rides, you'll turn your life around and get up early for it no matter what.... well I did that.
