Hyosung bike maintenance

Hello everyone,

So i currently own a 2012 hyosung gt250r and i use it to commute to school everyday. Around roughly 30 miles one way(around 300 miles weekly). However, since my bike is pretty new, i only have about 4500 miles on my bike. Ive gotten it serviced twice, at 600 miles and at 3500 miles. I was told to get it maintenance every 2500 miles. However, commuting 300 miles a week, i reach 2500 miles pretty quick. I was wondering if my bike would mess up if i skipped a maintenance service. I just can't seem to be paying $350 every two months, is there any advice you guys can give me? Should i skip some maintenance or what do i have to do in order to keep my bike up and running well without having to take it to the shop. things to look for or should be checked regularly. I always do oil changed every 2000 miles so apart from that, what else has to be checked and serviced in order to keep my bike running properly. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.

Hyo's needed regular chain adjustments when we had the dealership.
And oil every 3-4k as they don't hold alot.
Keeping your bike clean, using your eyes to look for potentially worn parts, and owning a maintenance manual is all helpful.

Well actually this website is probably the only one that I've seen that talks about hyosung bikes. Hyosung isn't as big over here so thats why i refer to this website when i need help. :p

That's cause Hyosungs are feking awesome and you Yanks don't know it yet.

I used to change my oil and filter every 5000kms myself and check all the chain tension etc at the same time. Sprockets will need doing at some stage as they wore out fairly quick on mine, make sure the keep it lubed though, a Scott oiler isn't a bad idea if you commute a lot.
Oil and filter are easy enough to do if you know what you are doing, but I know a chap who didn't know what he was doing and did it wrong which cost him an engine in his new Hyosung (muppet).

Basically if you skip the maintenance on the bike or do it yourself you will lose the warranty from the dealer, providing it isn't out of warranty already?. You just need to work out what is best for your own situation.
