Just registered so I thought I'd introduce myself. Me and Mrs Fazer Bloke just moved to Auckland from the UK (please, no JAFA jokee :D ). I ride a '98 'snub nose' Fazer, which I adore (picture attached). Unfortunately its in a container on the other side of the planet for the next few months. Still, once we're reunited I'm looking forward to joining you guys for a spot of scratching.

Peace out! :Punk:

Hey Ching Ching. The national speed limit in the UK is 70 mph but most people cruise on the motorway at 80mph. We have Gatso speed cameras absulutely everywhere but they're normally set to go off at 10 mph above the speed limit. That said, recently a guy was convicted for speeding at 158mph, the highest speeding conviction in the UK to date. mind you, I know guys with 'busas that often do more than that.

As far as insurance goes, how much for how much? if you want a good quote for UK insurance, check out www.mitch.co.uk. to give you a rough idea, my first bike was a Ducati 900 Monster and the insurance was £900 tpft. the fazer 400 was costing me about £300 tpft.

Wari - we're over in Milford at the moment, but were we end up buying a place, can't say just yet.

On another note, can any of you guys recommend any good biker bars or meeting points in the Auckland area?

Cheers. FB :Punk:

Welcome to NZ and KB FazerBloke.

I've lived in the UK and I reckon (despite the stuff you see written about UK drivers) that the standard of driving there is brilliant compared to NZ. The thing that caught me out when I got back to NZ was how aggressive NZ drivers are.

Be real careful when you get the bike here because there are some hideous genetic mistakes that manage to get licenses here :)

A matter of personnel taste I guess. It's a thin line I know. Plus his is only on a couple of posts whereas yours is on almost 2000. The more your avatar is going to permeate the site, the stricter I get. Just call me the nudy avatar police.

You current ones nice. Should be bigger. You do know you can go upto 100x100?
