Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone in the know can shed some light for me on this please, I have a CBR954 with a 600f4i front end and I would like to know if it can be complied with this front on?
Thank you.

Who is going to know it was changed?

Why would you downgrade the forks like this? Crashed?

Ha, yeah I'm not sure they would know.

I bought the bike with that front end, it was an oversight (excitement overwhelmed) decision atm. But having done some research, it looks like a common swap out to turn her into a stunt bike.

They give it a weaker front end? I wouldn't have thought so. Have you checked the headstock?

Yup, the bike rides perfectly fine and there isn't any play in the head. She toured the South Island from Auckland right down to Marlborough Sounds and back without any issues at all.

auckland is in the north island, the malborough sounds is within the first 100meters of the south island shore, sounds like a real adventure...

ha yup, it really was amazing. The south has some of the most beautiful roads I have ever ridden on. We did it in about a week averaging about 500-600kms per day.

So yes you have a problem. Whilst you could argue shocks and wheel replacement is common on cars so the rules sort of permit that, triple clamps brakes etc they will get grumpy about. You should get an lvv cert. Finding someone to do it may be difficult. Ask around vtnz or nzta who to use. Will be car focussed. It won't be happy cheap, and how worth it it is, well. . .

My punt is it would be cheaper to buy the correct front end for the bike.
Then sell me the 600 one.

Well yea that's a better idea if you can find one
Hmm.. . http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-03-HONDA-CBR954RR-CBR900RR-COMPLETE-FRONT-END-FORKS-SUSPENSION-HANDLEBARS-/261845998500?fits=Model%3ACBR954RR&hash=item3cf73cdba4:m:muAITmeqXkgB365YbDqHGow&vxp=mtr
$740 landed and gst. Almost what you need. Add a wheel some brakes, guard. Thick end of a grand.

And then you would want to get the frame well checked. I wouldnt touch a bike in that condition.

Show the cop a note from mum. Your answer is full of being a rude cunt. He then needs to get an lvv and find somewhere to bolt a plate the size of you hand. Under the seat can work. About $500 depending on how greedy the compliance guy is.
Opinionated from having done it.

Mate, that looks like a junked front. I've been looking for replacements for a while now, because I thought that would be the best option too. nothing at a reasonable price on ebay.

Thanks for the replies guys,
I've been doing some research too, and it seems that only if there is modification on the frame and subframe do I need to get an LVV cert correct me if im wrong?
Also does anyone know a LVV certifier I can get in contact with?
