In the market for a new (used) bike, top of my budget for now would be about $9k. I've been looking at 1050 Speed Triples, maybe a Street Triple, B-King (probably not in my price range), Z1000 (newer model), etc.

Will consider just about anything but I'll be picky.

Anyone got something they've been reluctant to list on Trademe?

Prefer North Island.

I have, 2010 predator. But I'd want more than 9k :)

I actually know almost nothing about those bikes. Might have to do some homework.

I only know one of the mechanics at my bike shop owns one and likes it a lot.
Im picking they will love the corners and make you feel younger.

Should be some MT-09s coming into your price range pretty soon. This (http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/sports/auction-966954773.htm)is the cheapest one I can see at the moment but there'll no doubt be more for sale over summer.

A 115hp triple and 188kg wet sounds like a pretty good recipe.

I've always thought these bikes were incredible value for money, even new. On the used market, almost-new MT-09's are going for the same price as 5 year old Speed Triples etc, which is great. But sub-$10k MT09's probably aren't happening for another year or so, and at ~$12k I'd rather have a B King (very personal thing, I just love B Kings for totally irrational reasons).

Agree on the BKing thing.

Actually just bought something. Never owned a bike with higher Km's, but in the end it was a deal I couldn't say no to.

Flying down to Welly next weekend and will ride it back to the Bay.

Nice. But high Ks?

Funny thing about motorcyclists, anything over delivery Ks is called high Ks. My Bandit is about to hit 110,000ks. Just rode it 1200ks and it runs perfectly. Got a Honda with 130,000ks as well. My VTR is the youngest with 40,000.

Reckon the Bandit will go 200,000 before I feel sorry for it and re-ring it.

54k isn't that high. Nice looking bike anyway.

Find a good long route back north. :niceone:
