Today we're celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. This day in 1977 I married my teenage sweetheart. She's not a teenager anymore but she's still my sweetheart.

Now we have a family of three adult children, two son's in law and three fabulous grandchildren. I am truly blessed!

Make it to 60 and you get a card from Peter Dunne, John Key, and Queeny. Given their track record they'll still be ding those jobs in another 20 years too; the OP perhaps, not so much.

A whopping 4 years today for us.

My wife's Grandparents managed 60 years up until recently (Grandma passed away) . They got their letter from the Queen (he's a Geordie boy) and even some TV time.

He minister for being ball and chains or something vaguely relevant.

Nah, what I meant to say was how fucking beige is your shit that you have to post about life events (marital no less) on a biker (allegedly) forum.

Have you ever read a Katman, axel , yokel or axel post.
I can't believe Peter is still a minister (maybe a catholic priest)funny how they sneak back into favour. Just like Judith Collins only less butch.

You will love this Who said Donkey has no sense of irony
However, on 28 January 2014 Dunne was reinstated as a minister and now holds the Internal Affairs, Associate Health, and Associate Conservation portfolios.
The minister of internal affairs yeah that what you give the guy who sold state secrets for a hint that he might get a look at a not very attractive jornos knickers.

At least either Shearer or Cunnife had a bike can't remember which one, none of them were that memorable.
Can you imagine Jerry browlnlee on anything other than a TRX300.

Well, experience counts for something I guess

I can imagine Jerry on a anything up to around 125cc, for the simple reason that you wouldn't see any of the bike anyway

Goodonyer mate! Only those married a long time, like over 20 years, know what it takes and what it can be. Right now, it's fabulous!

Congratulations on your 4 years! You have only just begun. Never forget why you married each other and how you felt on your wedding day when you looked at each other. Unless you got completely blotto of course.

Cheers,

Its a bit funny and sad at the same time thinking back, we had 2 other couples who got married within 3 months of us. We were all pretty close as friends but both the other marriages have already divorced.

TBH for the better for the women at least, who we are still good friends with. Its strange seeing it happen and thinking dude, how hard is it really? I mean you know what you signed up for, forget all the small stuff that doesn't matter and look after each other.

Well done to Ed and Mrs. Bear. It's nice to hear happy stuff for a change around here.

We're coming up for our 30th anniversary in a few months - I do sometimes wonder where the time has gone!

Don't get too complacent... My first marriage lasted for 38 years and then, out of the blue she fucked off on me. Three and a half years into the second marriage now, and it just seems so much more right.

That's how we got a good deal on our house. A couple in their 80s split. She said she'd had enough and took the first offer on the place and walked out on him.

It does happen to people. The only way she will leave me is by dying, and I am doing what I can to keep her healthy. That's just the way it is with us.

We've talked about what we'd do if we lost one of us. Even at my age I feel too tired to start over. I would have to find someone pretty special to take me on.
