Seeing Indys thread reminded me of a lil trick I learned.
If your carb diaphram in CV carbs has little pinholes in it or splits it wont work very well -actually sometimes not at all. The propper way to fix it is buy a new one. Great idf its in stock and ya can afford it.
A trick Ive used as an emergency/semi permanant repair is to use the adhesive from a bicycle tyre repair kit.Because its for tyres its desighned to be flexible and to adhere to rubber products.
Squeaze a little bit into the split and smear it smooth and flat-wait an hour and bobs ya uncle.

Good one Frosty,I've used the same stuff for suspected pin holes on the XS.
Fixed the problem so my suspisions must of been right for a change.
BTW that was over a year ago an I'm still running the same diaphrams. :blip:

That reminds me.

About 3 months ago I got a call from the guy who bought the wreck of my fire-destroyed FZR at auction.

He informed me it started first time.

That's one piece of damage the wusses at Top Gear were too scared to inflict on the Toyota Hilux!

Yamaha's are tough. :wari:

Good idea Frosty.
