Yahaha have certainly been busy with new models of late. I was not aware of the 700 XSR

Stock styling would have to grow on me but there is some very nice detail for a stock bike and if you scroll down the article the modified ones show what can be done to change it relatively easily into something very nice.

Also note the new 'old' Pirellis - last see on the classic styled new-old GT Ducatis a few years back. The tread pattern is a duplicate of the sport Pirelli from several decades back for you younger readers.

Despite the article saying otherwise it is a swipe at the Ducati Scramblers market. Also stories of a big bore scrambler from Ducati - should be confirmed within a week as they are announcing all new 2016 models.

So well done Yamaha - what are the other Jap builders doing .....

it's not 'ground breaking', the UJM has been in production on and off since, the GS1400, XJR11/12/13300, CB1300, ZXR11/1200's, the Honda CB1100, need I continue?
It's a 'modernised twist' on the naked theme, and good on them for doing it, It's actually gret to see a swing away form crotch rocket bikes to things that are more 'transport' focussed.....

I rather like it, would make a nice mid-range street bike.
I like the underslung exhaust.

I'd rather have an MT-07, and I don't particularly want an MT-07.

There was a bit of a thread about it 3 months ago:
