Hi does anyone have a steering damper to suit a 2005 Yamaha R6?

Preferably Auckland but no problem with shipping :) from anywhere

Thanks!

Nothing on tardme at the moment unfortunately. It looks like I may be able to fit the 2006 onwards dampers too if they fit over the head stem nut... Or rig up a way to fit it at least.
Hoping to find something ASAP. Nearly wrote myself off last weekend.

Tried the Wreckers? My guess is that they'd be full to the brim with crashed R6's

I was comparing the dimensions of the 2006 onwards and my 2005 model and it does look like the head nut and dimensions are the same so I could potentially fit a damper that is off a newer bike. Was hoping to get a 2nd hand one though for way less.

It is second hand. Check out what they cost brand new.

500 bones for the damper and right fitting kit is a good deal.

Yes that brand is awesome for sure. I will consider it but was hoping for something cheaper around $200. Few friends have scored decent ones for that price.

There is no fitting kit for it, but I'll take a picture of it next time I'm at the workshop.
