I am reluctantly forced to sell my classic GB500--I am advertising here first rather than TardMe as tyre kickers and people who ask dumb questions get to me a bit.I am sure KBers know of these bikes and that they are rarely listed.
This bike is probably the best example of a GB500 in NZ.I list below the changes/upgrades done and advise that all the original items removed from the bike are stored away and come with the purchase.
Upgrades include LED headlight, new indicators,stop/taillight and Slickspeed horn. The bike is fitted with Tomaselli fully adjustable clip on bars and grips including bar end mirrors, complete Custom Chambers exhaust system, new master cylinder with adjustable levers, new rear shocks, new chain and sprockets. The front suspension has been rebuilt and progressive springs fitted and taper bearings have been fitted to the headstock.
Rego is currently on hold but I will supply 3 months rego and new WOF if the price is right.
I am located near Russell in the Bay of Islands,so shout the Mrs a nice night at the Duke of Marlborough and come and look at the bike.

OK guys and gals, summer is on the way and it is time I tried to sell my beloved Honda GB500 again-I withdrew it last year as I could not get my asking price. So listening to what the KB wise men say about putting a value on extras and improvements which I had tried to do,I have now dropped the price to $5600 and all the original items removed from the bike will still be supplied.I can deliver the bike and the cartons of spares as far as Auckland if required.I still reckon this would be possibly the best GB500tt in NZ and that it is now fairly priced.PM me if interested in taking the sale further.-Thanks

What sort of headlight is that? Looks after market, is it legal?
If so what was the source?
How good is it?
I would be interested in updating my candle in the wind.

Too much .. yeah it's nice .. and you've spent money on it - I would like to own it (don't ask - too many bikes and a wife who's understanding wontt stretch that far)
But there's another one on Tardeme a year younger and original for 4 grand.

Obviously all of the bike's he keeps offering on.
Basic economics innit?
He wants the bike more than he wants the $5 and a bag o chips.
But, does he have the resources to make a higher offer?

WTF man. A five and a one coin. Or Six one dollar coins, or three two dollar coins or two two dolar coins and two one dollar coins.
And I ignored the smaller coin combos!

or literally, I could write a promissory note that says "6 buck and two bags of chips"
no different from the promissory notes you use, just sans-jew

It is a LED (three led's) plastic outer shell-no brand-I bought this and another from a mate-regarding legality I don't know but the bike did get a wof with it.
It is a very good light, especially on high beam, way better than original.
What is the story on legality of led lights as I have heard mumblings before?

Thanks for your compliments.
There is a standard one on TM with 56K's on it for $5890--There is also a real $3500 roughy that needs re-regging,new tyres and the starter does not work.It does not have the rare single seat and looks like its had a nasty drop on the RH side.Lotsa $ and labour to bring to a decent standard.
These bikes were bought into NZ in the same year, maybe reggoed at different times.

Does it have e markings on the lens?
If not then no. Of so then a bit of a read up of the regs might be in order.

Getting one is the easy part - convincing someone it's real is the hard part ..

Can't PM you but I'm very keen. Do you still have the stock headlight ears, tail light and such?

The spares boxes have everything that was swapped out-In fact there are two headlight lenses, clear and yellow (for foggy climates)-The lighting that was put on the bike was mainly done for safety purposes. Please note that the spares are not for sale separately, they only go with the bike.
