TV one saturday had an item on the Wanaka man who registered his jack russell on the electoral roll.
Predictably, the Electoral commission got up in arms about it.
But the Wanaka cop who was interviewed said that they "would doggedly investigate if asked to, but would not be hounding the owner".
Yeah, I know it's lame, but kudos to the guy for being human.
