This was the bike that was stolen from me back in 2005 and that I stumbled upon on TradeMe late last year and had returned to me. What a great feeling. Since having it back I've spent a fair bit of money on it getting it running how it should (accelerator pump repaired, throttle slide, new battery, wiring etc.) Engine is running great, the electric start has her fired up in one push of the button and then idles away nicely.
Obviously the condition is no way near what it was when I owned it. Clutch and brake lever shortened (fuckwits), rear brake light and indicator assembly removed, front left axel nut missing and some cosmetic damage. I haven't checked the digital speedo/tacho yet. It may be working I just haven't taken it for a long enough ride to see. When I have a buyer lined up I'll make sure to give it a hefty clean and spruce up with some SC1.
Apart from a few quirks this would make a fun little track bike, a weekend hooligan machine or if you have an offroad wheelset a great trail bike.
I thought I'd post it up here first among people I trust. If I have no luck I'll put it up on TradeMe. I'd also like to hear what type of advice you guys have for selling a bike online, what precautions to take to not get fucked over. The price isn't fixed, I'm open to offers.
