I'm in Scotland for the next couple of months, so I'm planning my route for the 2016 event from far away. I last logged onto the website from here a fortnight or so ago, without a problem, but for two days now all I get is a message saying that the www.tt2000.org website is not available. Is it still working in NZ? Thanks in advance for any light that can be spread.

Not working here either. I last looked about a week ago and it was up.

Looks like the domain might not have been renewed, and has expired.
I'm guessing the reminders to renew might have gone to an email address not monitored / or someone didn't follow up...

This is why we can't have nice things.

As others have suggested it looks like the domain registration has expired. I suspect the guys who took over the organisation after Mike passed away are probably having a struggle getting it sorted as transferring domain ownership can be very bureaucratic.
What info are you after? I've got the PDF's of the checkpoints downloaded so if you just need that info I can make those available to you or just post the co-ordinate info if that helps.

Thank you for the offer. I DO have the pdf's of the checkpoints (and I know where the secret ones are) but what I want (need?) is the overall map showing their locations, so I can try to establish my best plan.
At the moment I'm creating two plans; one with a Picton start and another with a Dunedin start, and I'll eventually decide which is my preference.
Cheers,

I've just had another look, and the site is up and running again.
Good news, and thanks to those involved.

Yeup, domain expires on 25/11... Hopefully they have it sorted for next year?

I went out for a spin around some of the check points last Thurs as I had a day off work. Did notice with the Kaikoura checkpoint that the sign had moved...about 10 metres to the other side of the entrance:-)
