I am looking for some accommodation in Paeroa for Sat 20 Feb for a couple of elderly guys who are into classic bikes-Nothing flash, twin room, sleepout or caravan will suffice, meals not required.Needs to be central and have offstreet parking for bike security. If anyone can help please post here with price details or send me a personal message. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, ended up there 2 years back, not recommended. So,I guess its back to the Thames backpacker option, that town is boring as bat shit hence the Paeroa enquiry, quite partial to that bar down by Maccas on the Sat night.

You could try Miranda, only bout 30 mins from paeroa and has the bonus of the hot springs, also a nice ride from clevedon through kawakawa on the way,

A rented motor home parked up on the hump down by the kink on the back straight can be very ideal.

WNJ,thanks mate but we really want to be in the Paeroa bright lights,we are however planning on coming via Miranda.Bob,good idea but we are travelling by bikes from the Far North and campervans have a minimum of 7 day hire.I guess the footy club campground is looking more attractive by the day, regardless of our old bones.

Yeah thanks mate-my mate stuck an ad in the local paper and he has been inundated with phone calls with offers from free to $100 a night-we are now spoilt for choice. The one we have picked sounds a keeper for accommodation for this and all the future races.
