Kia Ora Riders,

Finally realised my dream and bought my first real bike (I've had a 100cc moped in the past). Got a Kawasaki Ninja 300 Anniv ed and loving it so far. Been on a ride with Accelerated rider's David Horner. Cool experience. Looking for groups around Auckland to do this more regularly.

Anyone know of any good riding groups in or around the North Shore? Let me know.

Cheers

North Auckland Street Skills be the first port of call I reckon...or NASS on KB.

As much as I love to recommend NASS and group rides to newcomers, the only times I have ever seen people crash/come off is during those rides.

Take your time, get used to your bike, focus on improving and learning from mistakes as you ride around. You've got plenty of time to get the basics sorted first, before you need to join a group ride.

Suggest you try this group. Several Ninja 300's and the group rides are generally split into smaller groups based on rider confidence / ability. http://www.meetup.com/Auckland-Motorcycles
