Cemetery curcuit rd 3 Suzuki series report in.
Things I should have done. I should have stripped my fairings off to alter fork height in the chassis, and I should have taken the shock out of the bike and changed the rear spring, and I should have taken the throttle and cables of that I had fitted for a quicker action throttle. WHY? All would have made slight improvements! Why did I not, A, Because I am kinda sick of working on my race bike at the track on my own, and racing it and thinking about racing all at the same time. I know this makes me sound like I am not hungry and lazy really, but fact of matter is, this is all about the finishing off, of the TT in 2016 to me, so I decided to keep growing/re learning how to be a good rider again, and adapt and ride around the issue's I noted. I qualified in 5th place for the day, and finished first race in 5th place and the 2nd race in 4th place. I am very happy and proud of those results, but as mentioned above, I know 100% what could have been if I had done the work on the bike. I am trying not to be as demanding on myself as I once was, why, because I do not want to push to hard and smash myself up and miss another year at the TT, My HOME away from Home, I love that place so dam much, there is no drug on earth like the challenge of the TT mountain.

DREW, make them cold dude:lol:

I have to say Shaun, I was quite surprised how I felt seeing you out there.
It felt like a kind of homecoming & stripped away 25 years for me. Young blokes banging around there on bikes that now have their own classic class.
Nearly a tear jerker mate, so chuffed for you, & me kind of too, in a different way.
Thanks for making it back, I know the journey has been a rough one & some of us haven't helped that at all.

Cheers Dude. You all actually helped me it turns out. It was the shit I took so personally that hurt me so much, that made me dig deeper to be a stronger better man again, so no sweat at all bro:woohoo:

Frosty, you and I both know how much you have helped with re building me mate, and you also know it is 100% appreciated Buddy. Haha Yea it was funny hearing the congrats on your cell phone yesterday. I used your exhaust pipe and rear shock and rev counter and petrol tank and body work again yesterday mate, cheers. We need to talk tomorrow though about our agreement re Jan. I think I am just gunna have to turn my motor into a 450, as the SV will not be ready for the Sth Island.

Yes, we know that. And I don't want to hijack this thread, so won't keep on about it, but it wasn't democracy in action.

well said, not the easiest of tracks to get your mojo back so even betterer and several times in your race and the sidecar race i reminded people of the online bet drewpy had made with ya....
, tony rees pushed you down the overall winners list to 6th, he went from sixth to third, sean donnelly is now in 12th overall and johnny blaymires up to 25th place pushing andy kippen back one spot

Lol, looking through the programme I was a bit stunned, I thought I had won the Robert Holden memorial once? Not according to the officual programme though

your name is on the trophy, although it is spelt wrong.....
the confusion is that sometimes in the early days the RHM was a series of races that included paeroa and sometimes gisborne, the program has the winners of the wanganui race only.

Cheers man, I knew my memory for my racing history was still ok. When I won it, I guess there used to be a round at Paeroa also. Kind of BULLSHIT unfair advertisement though I think! And I have paid to watch the wanganui racing also, but cannot dam well access it for some reason

I'd love to see the history of wins at the place, not just the feature race, and also the lap records over the years if they were ever published on-line.

lap records are in the programme although there were at least two errors in this years.

Thank you for publicly correcting that at day's end. I had a small growly fox terrier that wasn't too happy about apparently losing her lap record that she hadn't actually lost.

It was a great day at the Cemetry Circuit, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the racing, the commentary, followed by another great day at the Wanganui Jet Sprints.

Enjoyed the Sidecars the Best, great to see the Worlds best coming down to little old NZ.
Wanganui and the weather really turned it on.:scooter:
