On checking the bike (2004 DR650) over after my latest ride, I see that the steering stem top nut and washer have gone AWOL.
ACS say it's not an item in stock, and is 10-14 days ex Japan.
Although I currently have other transport options, in about a week, the DR will be it.
Tried several dismantler websites - either sensibly on holiday, or did not reveal any DR650's being wrecked.
Is anyone aware of any other options?

the nut fits t,v,w,x,y models, and maybe others but my parts finder may not go passed Y, the washer fits hayabusas tl1000r and rmx250 among other bikes, use google, and find the tpi equivalent and diamter of the nut if you dont want genuine, or can't wait till it gets here

Cheers, JW,
Can't really wait - I've tried googling the required thread pitch/diameter, etc, but either my search-fu is weak (likely), or I'm missing something (likely), or they aren't there (unlikely).
Any help from the Collective with the specs for this nut would be greatly appreciated.
Otherwise, it's off to Mainland Fasteners on Tuesday, armed with some pretty average measurements, to try my luck.

This popped up on ADV rider forum and the thread is m24 X1.5. Hopefully you can source something from that.
