Got offered a cruiser that I am considering with lower seat height for the other half but would need sell my bandit.
Good condition but not mint.
Includes touring bags etc.
Have a k&n on order which should be here soon.
Bikes stock other than larger jetting and gsxr1000 rear shock.
Last photo is the tank bag. Could not find one of it on the bandit close up. Included

Not really a big issue for me as I have the one up bike and she is a seldom passenger. Wouldn't mind a cruiser for something completely different from the MV. Wouldn't mind a motard also but that would be a hard sell as a passenger bike.

The scooter must be lining up to be the longest you've ever owned a bike.

I sold the scooter 2 months ago lol.
I don't think ill part with the MV while I am flexible enough to ride it.
I wasn't planning sell the bandit but I got offered a vn900c with low km in not the most tidy condition for 3k that would tidy up a bit.
Have it at home now on loan and will see if wifey likes the back.
I would have 3 but registration makes it a bad option as they don't get used enough. After re-jet and new filter the bandit is going so well its very likely ill end up taking the Vulcan back tomorrow unless the wife decides she would far rather spend time on the back of it.

Mines got a timing advancer which seems to add a little as well. Wouldnt mind putting a 14t on the front for a wheelie good time.

14 tooth - ha - try a Ducati - top gear is engaged way over the legal limit otherwise it is a five speed! I'm dropping a tooth on the front when I kill the first rear tyre (won't take long) if not sooner.
VN900 - brilliant project bobber or old school styled chopper. At $3 I reckon I'd have found room of a second bike and cracked out the rattle can ....

We just got back from short ride and wife says the comfort level on the Bandit is far better.
Apparently 4hrs on the Bandit is more comfortable than 20mins on the Vulcan.
Either she is a poor communicator or I am a poor listener.
There is a good running but needs a bit of tidy up vn900c cheap at Motorad if anyone wants one and the Bandit is no longer for sale.
Idd buy it and tidy it up for a couple k profit if I didn't think it would stop me doing work on the house.

Yes it looks half finished. Not sure when it changed but its boring.

It arrived yesterday and its at my place now so wont be on any trade lists now.
Tank has rust at bottom under seat. That needs cleaned back and painted but you could paint that yourself as its below seat. Rest of tank is straight but not perfect.
From 3 metres away bike looks good but up close there is surface rust.
I cleaned it up a bit today and its looking a lot better and runs very well.
If I was keeping it would repaint handle bars, replace or chrome sissy bar and paint several smaller items. Clutch cover has ally oxy under paint so paint or replace.
I noticed the mags have some bubbling under paint so maybe repaint rims if you wanted to do that next tire change.
Its 23tho km and goes very well. Its got a thousand dollar after market seat and apparently the original is coming from old owner soon. Also the original chrome parts for the back which may mean no need get the sissy bar and saddle bags chrome done if you don't want them.
Ill include some photos in the next 15mins and ill be taking it back to the shop tomorrow when I collect my Agusta.
You would be best contact Carl for price etc.

pix. Idd say you could spend 500 and time and have a bike worth 2k+ more than it owes you. Its 2009 se model

Fuck people would really spend $500 on that. Probably get a Scorpio or summit for five hundy. Or do you mean they are asking more for it? I could have made those pipes and I have a short span of attention.

Now put a pipe on the Bandit so it can scream. Find 8ish hp and lose 10kg.

If I found a good 2nd hand one very cheap I might be tempted but there is other things I would rather spend money on.
I am not sure it really needs more power I would doubt I would use it if I had it plus its kind of nice to not have a lot of noise.

The weight saving over the stock piece of lead can is worth it if you find a well priced aftermarket unit. One of those Spark GP universal ones Fastbikegear sells would be cool on a Bandit.

I know the advantages as I have likely purchased more mufflers than most people have purchased bikes but there is just a lot of other things I would rather buy at the moment and not enough money to buy them all.
I would get a GPR inox deeptone for it if I was going to splash out.

suspension first, let the bike handle the power at its disposal before adding more.
Then again you did put a gixxer shock in already?

Yes gsxr1000 shock far better than stock and only a little higher up. Think it was plus 5mm. Firmer ride.
