My grand-daughter made this today. She turned 6 last Sunday. She takes after her maternal grandmother...(god save us all.).
Paper, scissors, cellotape a pen and some glue. Papa watched in awe. This kid sees in 3d...

Cute kid. I'm typing this lying in bed trying to get my daughter to sleep. She sees in 4D at least 2 of which aren't the same as the rest of us.

Very cool.

My 13 year on son recently told me he was 12th in NZ for knife kills on some PlayStation game he plays. Such a proud moment for me :niceone:

I knew one who gave it up to become a cop....I told him he just wanted to be able to enforce compliance with his drawings. He claimed being a cop paid better...

Slofox - I blame this sort of thing on over exposure to home renovation shows on TV. Get her name down for series 20 of The Block NZ....

My older brother is a architect - never though too much about it until I started dealing with them through the CHCH rebuild ..... they often struggle with the reality of their design engagement having to meet a defined budget .........

Very profound. Also accurate.

is it a Christchurch house?
Nope. The latest Auckland house. 1:1 scale.

Every "architect" is intent on building a monument to their own greatness. Nothing more.
If you want something sensible, get a draftsman.

You take your jandals off, so you can count your toes. You should be able to count up to 20 that way.

My oldest grandson who is 2 1/2yrs had us rolling on the floor today. He was playing with a train set that had Thomas and a station with the fat controller. As he was giving a running commentary, he called the station master the fuckentroller. We sniggered at that and I pointed out to him that the controller was fat and so he was the fat controller. The fat fuckentroller he said and we couldn't argue anymore!
