That was some fairly absorbing and hotly contested racing I saw today. A lot of old men on the podium and lots of young riders pushing them. Shaun qualified well and was narrowly beaten by Matthew Hoogenboezem. He was flying.
Good racing throughout the classes.

Super keen for the season going to be some really close racing!
Anyone know what's happened to Jaden Hassan? Not defending his no.1?

Great battle between Dennis and Baillie in Pro Twin, Shauns first win but had to beat off a fast charging Jacob Stroud. Good going old man

Awesome racing on Sunday lads. Really enjoyed young Strouds chase down of Shaun in the first race.
Shaun certainly can still ride though as he gapped the field from the offset in both races, not bad for an old GSXR, with an old rider, on old tyres! Awesome stuff.
Dennis and Bailies battle in the pro twins was truly epic, they were so close for the entire race, Dennis's move around the outside on the left hander going into the dipper on the last lap is usually only a move that someone can pull off on lap traffic/slower riders. Genius!
Great racing through out the field, the side cars even managed to put on a good show in the GP race too.
Great to see Sloan Frost getting some results too, he's certainly worked hard on it.
+1 to the question about Jayden, is he not racing? I spotted him in the pits but not out on track.

haven't looked at the long range forecast, but, historically when there is the occasional fine dry national at teretonga, the lap records go....it's due.

Bikes are faster and tires are better than last time there, so yea, maybe that will happen

I'm sure it was him but I guess his bro would know better than I though eh?
It is a shame he isn't racing again this year, would love to have seen him vs Stroud on similar machinery, the old master vs the new young gun.
Speaking of which Aaron was bloody quick too. I remember meeting him and his family when he was a wee tot at the first round of the Nationals they hosted at Hampton downs... I'm feeling old now...
Good luck to all racing at Teretonga this weekend.

Don't be negative.--Teratonga is about due to give us a dry race sunday.
My prediction-dry Thursday, wet Friday, PISS down Saturday and dry cold sunday--ohh and plenty of wind straight across the brickyard and funnelling into T2 (the first right hander)

well it looks like after 2 rounds its a five horse race this season.
Shaun is well in the lead
Young Jacob Stroud is on the charge.
Matthew Hoogenboezem is darn fast but missed two races due to a crash (no fault of his)
Gavin Veltmyer has found form and wins the starts
Johny lewis is sticking in there
Shauns results at the end of this second round are are five wins and a second place. 145 of a possible 150 points.
Jacob Stroud has ,three 2nd place finishes a 4th a 5th and 6th----------------- -----94points of a possible 150 points
Gvin Veltmyer Has a 2nd three 3rds and two 4ths -------------------------------------- 94 points
Johnny Lewis has three 3rds two 4th and a 5th========================= 72 points
Matthew Hoogenboezem has a 1st a 4th and a two 5th ------------------------------------ 60 points
Remaining points available I believe is 150 unless one meeting is a double header in which case 225 available
Points structure is25 for a win, 20 for second
16 for third
13 for fourth
11for fifth
10 for 6th
9 for seventh --etc , 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Doubt it...
No denying Sloan has uped his game this year and is flying, but Jaden is no slouch and beat Sloan fair and square to the title last year.

It was a jab about him being left out of the equation, not an actual prediction.
