Shit, how did I get my name down on that? Would like to do it, but it might be too soon after the GC for my pocket. I'll leave my name on for now and see what I think when the time comes.

Sounds like great fun, riding around a dusty, slippery, unkempt excuse for a race track. At least the price is good and nice to see a club giving something back to their members as way of thanks.
Well done the current committee (SVS Batman and others). :niceone:

Dry all day today and great days riding. Got my first go around the extension track.
Shawn Donnelly and Jay Lawrence instructed a small group of us including Weasel Bartman Jane and myself. Was a good move as we rode heaps. Only drawback was we weren't allowed to use any brakes.
After lunch it was onto the front track for a few sessions hooning around.
Shapeing up to be another fine day tomorrow see you guys there.

I don't know how my name ended up on the list of those who will be attending - today was the first time I even knew there was a track day on tomorrow! I've been in hospital this week so definitely won't be riding.
Did someone just make up the list off the top of their head or something?

Ummm, my name is on that list too...and I have no idea who the VMCC are, or where in NZ or on Earth Manfield raceway is...strange world.

If your bike is up to WOF standard and you have good protective gear (cordura is ok) then I don't think you'll have a problem. This is the first VIC run openday for me but today I just taped up my headlight and rearview mirrors. I have taken them of for Sunday as the bike doesn't go in the van well with them on and I want to take some other stuff over and pick up something.
Anyone else coming just get here before 9.30am.

Missed the sausage sizzle and don't know who was leading the fast laps but I was trailing them.
Perfect day with the the usual KB Wellington Crew turning up. Even saw Mikey late in the afternoon.
Highlight for me was following Derek Hill riding SVS's bike. Following a rider of his skill level for a few laps is extremely helpful.

don't know who was leading the fast laps but I was trailing them.
The fast laps were dominated by Pete (Aprilia RSV), Mark (GSXR750) and Jimbo600 - Craig Freethey went out in the third session and was quick also.
Craig Shirrifs was blindingly quick (as usual) in the race sessions.
My rear tyre went off in the third session and was fun with a bit of sliding here and there, quite predictable, but I pulled in not wanting to tempt fate too much.

I (+ MoFun and PBastard) came up and watched for a few rounds. Sorry didnt know it was you cow.p, I would have introduced myself. A good day altogether, beautiful weather, the ride home was a bit crap from MacKays crossing onwards (bloody double yellow lines). Thought S.Bill's new bike looked awesome. So...who won the 'race' :)?

Had an awsome weekend!
We were there both days. The CBR was SOOOOOO amazingly good! I couldnt believe how good it felt out there. Just got to take off those stupid things on my pegs! Was touching them done on the sweeper and Coke!! Very off putting!
I didnt go out the last session, i was out by the sweeper getting some great shots of the guys. Ill post them asap.
We were all leaving some pretty good black lines out of just about every corner, Wish i had the video camera on the bike.
Still learning how to wheelie the bike, so were no good ones done by me.
Anyway..
Thanx to the Vic club for a great weekend!!!!!
GOOD ON YOU LOT!!!

Andy rode up to have a look with Mac, the Scottish guy who is touring around here at present. Then they met up with the BMWOR guys who had a run over to Wimbledon and out to Herbertville. Said it was pretty hot, but then we've had a day like that today - you obviously live in the wrong spot, LB!

I was sure I'd seen Andy's bike there - for a short time only, parked on the concrete rectangle by the chips/hotdog van.
