Please have a place to run a daily bike identification thread.
I propose something like this:
A team of 7 people who take turns to submit images for identification.
Tabulation of results
A yearly prize.
Rules.
1. The source that the submitter uses for the image will be gospel in terms of the correct answer. This will stop the little discussions that erupt when people like me split hairs with people like Sniper.
2. The moderator for the forum will adjudicate any discussions and be responsible for tabulating the scores.
3. The competition will be run under "Gentleman's rules". Best behaviour only. Bad behaviour will result in exclusion from the competition. Bad behaviour will include anything that would most likely get you punched in the face if you said it in person. The Moderator will make a final decision if necessary. The goal is self-moderated good behaviour.
4. Images will run for a maximum of 1 week, at which time the image poster will "win" that competitions point.
5. It won't be multiguess, and an answer is either right or wrong. The poster is under no compulsion to answer questions, but may post hints if the correct answer isn't made quickly.
I'll provide the first prize (I'll think of something Bike related) for the competition, which will finish Christmas Eve each year. Obviously this year will be the short version.
