View Full Version : The Daily/Weekly/Monthly Auckland Motorcycle Shops Rant
The End

Emailed 4 Motorcycle shops based around Auckland 2 weeks ago about a product & service they all mentioned on their website and I only heard back from one.
That one place no longer offered the services I required and gave me the contact information of another who did, who never replied either.
Sort your sh*t out and maybe then people will do business with you.
In the mean time, I'll take my business off shore.
But they're too busy to answer emails, give them a call instead!
Then why do you have a contact form or info email listed on your website?

Take it to Hamilton. I gave up buying a new leather jacket in Auckland after visiting all the usual suspects. I walked into Boyds and found a broader selection than all the Auckland shops combined.

Never forget, it's always worth seeing what the little guy can offer.

Do you have a speech impediment? The wonders of the telephone are that you can talk once and get all your questions answered and make the decision to buy or not right there, might even get the goods that week. Fuck around with emails backwards and forwards and it gets lost in translation.
We have a contact form on wife's website and we make sure they include the phone number because email conversations invariably miss things out. You could have picked up the phone and got your answer quicker than posting the rant.

Is that your pickup line?
If so - needs a little work.....
As for me - I have a shop I like to deal with, they are good at answering my emails (which is why I deal with them) and I have another shop that I will never do business with again (in fact they owe me money and still haven't paid)

Yeh, but then you get in there and they just go nah, you misunderstood, it was $299 plus all these many things...
Email is way better, no fucking about waiting for shit to ring, for some numpty to go and talk to 8 other numpties about a simple problem. That, and you can BCC (or just CC for extra shits and giggles) like 8 shops at once with the exact same query...

I realize you are from Dunedin, Auckland bike shops you will be lucky If anybody will answer the phone. Let alone give an answer that makes any sense.
I go to 1 guy for most things, if he hasnt got it he will try to get it. Yes he answers the phone and e-mails.

A detailed request can be copy-pasted into multiple contact forms. The OP may not have wanted to repeat the same conversation 4 times.
A phone-call to follow-up the best reply would make sense.

Too young to appreciate Python?!?

The Holy Grail/The Life of Brian should be required viewing in Schools as far as I am concerned.

Boyds has good selection of apparel and that young sales bloke is very good. Apparel sales chicks are pretty clueless and if store is manned only buy them you will end up standing there until end of time without being serviced.
Service desk is good too and they get things done.
Do not try to buy a bike from that younger sales guy. The one that looks like having a permanent hangover. Buying a bike from him is as fun and fast like pulling teeth. As for our bike purchases, I got such a great service at Experience Motorcycles in AKL that I most likely buy my next bike from them too. I don't mind paying extra $300 - 500 for not having to deal with a dick.
