The Dompost ran that story as well. Hilarious. They had to survey 24,718 4wd drivers to find out that they are fat lazy & selfish. I could have told them that for half the cost of the survey just by standing on the corner of any city street for 10 minutes . They missed another key finding- ugly people tend to drive these ugly vehicles :puke:
ps- I'm not talking about those rare owners that actually need a heavy 4wd

TV3 News just covered the story.
I still recall a soccer mum saying in response to safety to those outside the vehicle, ;i don't care, at least i'm safe'
DIE.

Great article. Would put it the back of the Hilux, but its tinted on the inside and covered with shyte on the outside. Tell you what though, after my journey up Northland and back, I've got to agree. I have NEVER seen so many shiney & clean 4wds! And they look so damn funny with alloys & low profile road tires :killingme

I love toys/things/machines. I have bikes, cars, a boat, jetski, medieval armour, a parachute, guns, swords, every electronic gadget that comes on the market, but no 4wd. I simply wouldnt use it. But did you see the Top Gear story on the Toyota Hilux, where they took a crusty old one and proceeded to try and fuck it every way possible and it just kept running. What a machine. Im selling the Lexus and am getting a crumpy mobile, then when the morons in the carparks dent it, I wont care, then when I need to carry some gear, a bike or move house I can do it myself, then when I go up to the farm I can hoon around in the mud, safe in the knowledge that I can't kill it.
As for the remuera station wagons, :brick: they are generally brought by people who cant drive and or who are insecure in their ability on the road. Best give them a wide berth.
