...Nutters with big balls and big blocks on a dirt track and having fun...to be applauded...I see no mention of alcohol being consumed or drunk riders?...

For people who hate on Harleys... y'all seem to be unusually, even pathologically, obsessed? Why not just ignore us and ride your own ride?

"Y'all" is Southern Singular

"All y'all" is Southern Plural :-)

They all seem to spend their lives troling through the Harley section looking for a fight. I guess it makes them feel good about being a rice rocket rider.

Some late model dressers looked like they came straight of the street......
350 kg on the dirt.
not easy.

I'd do that on a Harley, the Buell would have been my pick for not making it round turn one.

That guy that causes the red flags, should have been sent home methinks.

Maybe the alcohol bit was the hosting site trying to drum up traffic?

As said, nutters with big balls on big bikes. Not easy to do. Some nice drift control going on by the end of the vid.

The only thing I'd critque in the vid is the choice of Protective gear chosen by some of the riders.

I remember riding on a dirt track on my GSX650FU (by accident - the road had 2 entrances - one full dirt, the other sealed) and it terrified the tits off me - so hats off to those riders!

Has anybody else noticed how often a thread - doesn't matter what topic - ends up as an argument between members of the same small group of people?

FWIW I watched that clip to the end, not always the case. There must be a back story to that, do they just invite audience members on to the track? Riders with no safety gear, at least one bike with panniers. Some were showing good skills before the end though.

I really enjoyed the video. It was great to see them having so much fun, I'd be hopeless at that.
Back in the 70's we would have done stuff like that or worse. Good on them I say. ( I would hate the repair bill for the damage to the crashed bikes.

Harden up! Looks like a bit of fun and they're on a closed track.

Doing better better than the fuckwits that try and ride like Rossi on the road yet are so shit they can't keep their head on the right side of the road let alone their bike :devil2:

The NZTA road inspection team have found a new way to inspect centreline quality. In this example Go Pros get close ups of paint degradation.

Hmm, they must be some of those camper-van style bikes that tourists can't keep within their own lane aye

Sadly, many of the drivers I've seen lately would have cleaned that lot up.

Because all the broken drive belts littering the roads are a hazard.

Yes - as a result the same small group are pretty well the only people that post here now...

It's a pity, but the same occurs in all walks of life.

its the petty crap slinging etc puts most off.

just like in sports clubs and other organised groups it's always the few that do the majority of the heavy lifting

I like seeing other peoples points of view on motorbikes and how they like them, their good and bad features

Yep, one or two of the riders had a clue, (ie stay low, and power up as soon as possible)
Shame the track was so small,
Hard to brake and square up on a heavy bike in those conditions.
They were having fun, and something to tell their grand kids about.

I may have this all wrong but isn't he the guy I've seen chucking a (breathed on) Harley round Paeroa and Wanganui with big skills and more than a little style.

Haven't seen him for a while now though - where's he gone?

No idea, I know he lost his road licence for a while some time back. One of the Nelson area KBers may know.

Until he went to a belt primary (dry...) yes, the oil trails from the inevitable holed primary were annoying.
But given that street racing is all about entertainment rather than serious racing. a hell of a lot of people would sooner watch him...i know he was fun to watch on Greymouth.

...same man, on a flat track we tried to get legalised at Moutere., out of Nelson a bit...we never got past the final permissions bit...fuk'n forest and bird and kraut vintners...Darren spent 24 hours or so on his Bobcat doing this track...then couldn't wait to try it with his speedway solo bike...he would ride down from Nelson to Westport with a 21' Honda front wheel strapped to his back, change the Softail's front over, race us, put the wheel back and ride home...the real deal and a good man...

I thought he was fucken awesome...till I lined up next to him at Paeroa. His fuel tap was fucked and pissing fuel like all fuck, he hides it with his boot while the marshal walks through the grid and shrugs his shoulders at me when he realised I was watching.

Fuckwit!

...well, you can't defend the indefensible...

I had a good scrap with Harleyguy one year around the cemetery circuit.I was crawling all over him in the corners on my little RGV but he was gapping me everytime down the straights.
Last lap plan was to dick him into Toyota but peeling into Holden before hand he got in so hot that he had to shoot straight ahead up the escape road...so funny to watch but impressive all the same.

Harley guy can fuck right off and stay there. Cock.
