Im picking up a new chain in the next few days and wondering if anyone on the shore has the tool i could borrow?

Otherwise i might buy this one from torpedo7 ? Thoughts?

I've done heaps of chains without the tool. Use a stone grinder fitment on a standard drill to remove the rivets on the side plate of link to break.
But a block of wood between the chain and rear wheel. fit new plate by tapping it on with a small socket, then use a punch and hammer, or ball been hammer to mushroom the new rivet - job done.
If you are planning to do lots of chains, get the tool.

Thanks for the suggestion but being a dumb ape I'd likely fuck the bike with just a hammer and wood.
