Odometer reading in the first post is wrong, the correct reading is 4224 km as of today. I knew it had very low K's when I bought it (High 2000's) and the 16060 I listed it at did seem strange and not sure where I got that from.

4 thou kms on the clock? $10 k?

Sounds like a good deal to me if you are in that market.

Priced to sell, if you realistically knock off 3K as the retail price (in this price bracket) you will be somewhere close to the market price. But it does come down to someone looking/wanting the bike you're are selling.

Will you accept 7,500 for it. and why are you selling after only doing just over 2,000ks on it?

Nice try. You know 10 is a honest price for a very low km tidy example. Would you provide your own lube with your offer so at least the edge would be taken off it as you shaft him .......

7,500 what? With recent interest, it's looking likely the trend will soon be in an upward spiral direction. I am in no real hurry.

The reason I am selling it, is because I want to buy a CB1300 (I really miss the one I had) or a GSX1400 (cheap as) and the $5-6K left over will be put to good use around the house, starting with a boundary fence.

7,500 what?

Pies probably, knowing Fatt Max.

There is a serious inside leg measurement deficiency that's in need of great attention before someone of his stature can even think about swinging over the Tigers seat height.

He could always get some knock offs of Gene Simmons boots.

Whilst a very nice bike, when they end up for sale they seem to be in very second hand condition, there was available in 'mint' condition few months back, it was owned by my ole' Alistair from the Manawatu at a very good price.

This will do just fine > http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/sports/auction-1061411323.htm

I can't say you're making the wrong call... not mine to make. I'd rather have a low mileage cb1300 or gsx1400 or Zrx and 5 k than the triumph.

There has been the same model CB on TM that I had with similar K's on it as when I traded mine. The Tiger is a great bike, there is no doubting that but I feel that if I could own the bike that I really loved from the past, it is the Honda CB1300.

Yep, the emotional connection to a particular bike is a highly personal thing - buying (and keeping) a bike involves both head and heart. I tend to keep my bikes for quite a few years but don't think I'll be keeping my GSX-S1000 for anywhere near that long. It's terrific performance-wise, delivers what I currently want from a bike and yet I don't have anywhere near the same attachment to it as my Street Triple or even the Blackbird. Really hard to articulate the reasons but chances are that it will be gone in 1-2 years.

Good luck in finding a CB1300 :Punk:

100% accurate assessment of where I am at Geoff. I always knew I had done the wrong thing letting the Honda go. There is an 02' GSX for sale with low K's but I ain't paying $8K + ORC for a bike that is probably worth 5-6K.

They do lowering plates for these. Cheap easy fix to the height issue.

IMO - $10k is way too cheap for a bike of that age and Ks. A dealer might give you more to buy it off you

32 watchers on the add amounts to nothing if you don't get an offer, I was however offered a WR250 plus cash but declined that and one other from up north was looking to buy if the sale didn't go through last weekend, turns out that person had just bought one prior to me selling so in the end all is good and everyone is happy.
