Got talked into dragging the old S outta the shed in order to have it at a car/bike show thing in order to raise cash for children with cancer, not really my thing but when i agreed i had  had a couple so fronted, got complicated as i had (apparently) agreed to take the coon out there as well.Dropped the bike off and thought no more of it and found 2 notes stuck to the old girl when i went to take it home, nice really to think that someone else would like the old thing in this day and age and considering how little it sees the light of day almost worth considering,to top it off whilst i was away taking the bike home a bloke and his mrs approcahed Vicky asking if we had any interest in selling the old Falcon (though ive not had it long)..annoyingly she fessed up what we paid to which they said they would pay for it:brick: silly tart should have added 5 k or so.:rolleyes:A good day all round and show/raffles and an Auction raised some cash for a worthy cause.

Almost forgot...got to love this set up....
Looking at your picture reminded me of when I was kidnapped and put into North Otago colours, ah them was the days....
Never been there, I should plan a trip......
Sometimes at shows you can see some info on the display about the vehicle etc.
Prefer this if it's in bigger font so you can read it from a distance, instead of hogging all the space.
Some displays - nothing
Just looking at the pic of your bike - made me go and look into it on the web - looks good.:niceone:
I prefer the older Falcoons 1964-1969 era

It is a mint one :-)
Sounds like my wife re the dollars. I was involved in her olds selling/buying a week or so back - told the agent her fees were too high and we started the process of lowering them - got 4k off her then Mrs B says 'really, you'll go that low?' ..... that killed my negotiations on that front!

As do i re old coons, you would love this old girl...always been a fan had XR/XT/xw then almost the holy grail an XYGS with every option, stupid enough to sell it then had a couple of B series XRs until this GTP which is a keeper for sure...one of 95 in Blue Pearl.http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a92/tlme/GTP%20070%20Medium_zpsh2x3cdrr.jpg (http://s9.photobucket.com/user/tlme/media/GTP%20070%20Medium_zpsh2x3cdrr.jpg.html)As for the old TLS well i started buggering round with it a long time ago...just forgot to stop until recently, goes well still and the GSXR front end was a revelation.

...I was offered three times as much and could have got more, for a bike I had just picked up a few hours earlier and was still on the trailer, then someone came along and offered me an even more ridiculous amount...I'm not sure I did the right thing by turning them down, now...

There would however be many still around that are original which at some point in time will mean something, ive still most of the oem bits but wont mean much in my lifetime...as it sits its a fun bike to ride, the lighter rims and GSXR forks/radial calipers etc have made the thing what it should have been back in the day.

me too: when I were a lad riding round on my TS125, the rich kid up the road had an XL250 Motosport that he would not let any of us ride. Might have been something to do with the other mate that had his DT250 endoed by a guy on a ride (or me looping a DT400 showing off for some girls..... nother story).
Aaaaaaany way: I always wanted one too. There must be a few still in sheds in Sth Canty and Otago I reckon.

Depends. :shifty:
Either an MT250 trail bike or a CR250 MX bike. Depending on the market.
Similar tank. But that's an XL250, 4 stroke trail bike.

2-stroke sold by Honda in th early 80's/lat 70's.
"The only two-stroke dirt bike good enough to have the Honda name" was their slogan. (Or similar.)

early 70's, 73-75 or somit like that, could do 70 mile an hour down the road, (best not ask how i know that) also good for removing barberry hedges, thank fuck that concrete strainer was 6 inches to the right.
now worth a small fortune in the states

Saw this one at the March Hare awhile back...
Saw a very similar one in some town down southland way on it's way back from the burt munro, not the same one as the one pictured doesn't have the rego plate held on with bits of string like the one I saw. Old school 2 stroke up the main street did sound rather mint.
Not long after I bought my GT cortina way back around '91ish I had someone knock on the door offering 4x what I had paid for it, probably should have sold it then, at least it wouldn't still be sitting in my garage waiting for me to spend large sums of money on getting it back on the road........

Flamin' heck. That's a good earner for just a wash!
Imagine what you could earn if you did a bikini bike-wash each weekend? You could retire!
