Anybody got a good cond GSXR1100 inlet cam? Not from the later shimmed motor, early one. Or a 89 GSXR750 inlet cam?

Long shot I know but worth an ask.

Yes, if I can find cams without having to re-mortgage the house.

Ebay will be your friend, but opens you to that totally unknown condition purchase.

Must be a pile floating around NZ or Aus you'd think.

Depends what I can find, seems exhaust wear much faster. But not sure if thats true. But the more I look into it a pair of cams seems the go.

Wouldnt mind a 1216 kit but would need to sell one of the kids.

Ask on a speedway forum or go see speedway engine builders. The air/oil 750 was very popular as a TQ motor but is now practically obsolete due to the water cooled motors coming in. Many people have piles of unsold spares for them.
I pointed a pre 89 racer at one such pile here in ChCh and he bought quite a lot. No cams left in that pile AFAIK, sorry.

Haven't heard of the Ex wear. The Ex cam moves the spread upwards (about 1000 rpm). But using just the Inlet was a trick used to boost torque.
Have a look at Maximum Suzuki forums, a lot of info there.
