Hey guys,
Has anyone done a front end swap before? How do-able are they? What kind of things are involved?
Keen to put a front end with inverted forks on a 82 GS550.

The doability depends on compatibility of the headstock/stem/bearings, in addition to finding forks with the right offset and length.
Some it's a straight drop in and out, others require different bearings or spacers on the stem; others require different top yokes...
And do you want to keep the stock front wheel/brakes? cos that makes things more tricky again.

Thanks guys,
Definitely trolling the gs resources forum. Ideally I'd be keen to do front + back end with a GSX/GSXR something, including wheels so I don't have to get spacers made. Could probably machine the discs to fit but then mounting the calipers + carriers sounds like a job.
From what I've read, I really don't think I'll be able to do this without a massive budget blowout :weep:

Welcome to bike modding :sunny:
Re discs, I think most people make adapter plates/spacers for the stock calipers to fit the new forks if they wish to keep the stock wheel. That's what I did with mine.
