Hi everyone, first post from a newbie tonight. :spudwave:
Am doing BHS test this weekend so hopefully will be in the market for a bike next week. Mainly after a commuter for work etc ( 40km round trip) but also trips of up to 100km one way every fortnight. Pretty skimpy budget, $1500 - $2000. I know everyone will say go for the GN250 ( Ive read all the threads)but Im a superficial kinda guy so am leaning more towards an FXR 150 or RG/RGV 150, I also like the looks of the 1990 yamaha SRX 250 on Trade me at the mo too, but too far away for me to check out, Im in Pukekohe.

I realise the RG/RGV are 2 strokes and potentially need more maintenance at higher kays which is rather off putting, and also the FXR will be hard to find for that price with half decent kays - which just leads back to a late model GN250 (but I just cant do it!)
If anyone has or knows of something that may be of interest to me, please help me out, Im keen as to get on the road.
Thanks in advance. :niceone:

gn's are all right if you are a first timer or just a downright they can go around corners pretty well if equiped with decent tires, i have yet to be out paced through a corner on mine....2strokes are generaly faster so go for one of 'em i reckon.

welcome to the group
