Hi all, after riding my beloved GSXF up to 145,000k she's blown a piston ring.
I've bought a new bike - time for me to move on - and swapped the new rego back for cash so she is off the road.
Apart from the engine, had just passed WOF, had been serviced every 6 months by Toby at Auckland Motorcylce Services Waitakere good tyres, new exhaust system put on recently, new mirrors, all good. Lots of work done, cambelt etc, plugs, camchain tensioners etc.
Great commuting bike - never let me down once in 9 years and 55,000k. Made it to bike shop on 3 cyclinders OK as well, but is old bike - I hope someone wants it as the to see it broken up.
Wreckers are collecting the bike soon, but if you can pay more than them I'll take anything over $300 if you want a project, need the parts, or are looking to get a bike with plenty of potential cheap.
You will need to put the bike back on the road and get new plates of course.
Photos show two older pics when clean and as was yesterday at the bike shop.
