North Island Series Round 3 - Edgecumbe 23-24 April
I've just updated the AMCC website with the details for round 3 at Edgecumbe in case anyone missed it. The event is well worth a trip down for, the track is super fun and far more difficult that it looks from google earth! It was resurfaced not too long ago so it's flat and really grippy. There's hot spring pools locally and the local kart track has a bar in the club rooms for Saturday night.
Important! Make sure your crash protection is 100% up to standard. You will not be able to ride without adequate sliders. If you're unsure, please ask. The last thing we want to do is damage this great track and spoil the great relationship we have with the friendly local kart club.
See you all there!
Camping at the track on Friday, practice Saturday, racing Sunday, sign on will be about 10 on sat and from about 9 to 10 Sunday as usual. The track is on Colledge Rd, next to the rugby feilds.
Final round of this years NI series and the track is well worth a visit. This is Anzac weekend and although we can't camp and extra night Sunday, if you don't feel like driving home after the racing there is camping and cabins at the hot springs about ten minutes drive away.

Nick, Brent and Scott out! Damn guys, was looking forward to that.
Scott don't you have like a hundred FXR engines kicking around by now? Surely?
Haven't raced in a few weeks. Slowly going insane and doing normal things involving houses and girls. What has my life come to! So looking forward to this!
Scott, if you do make it, can you please bring that rear slick? Thanks!

Bring your woolly undies, it's getting cooler of an evening around here. Also, the bar will be open Saturday night for your enjoyment.
After the fine effort put in by your good selves last year, the clubrooms now have power on.
A friendly reminder from the Kart Club to please leave your doggy friends at home.
The much anticpated First Annual Edgecumbe Raft Race/Float may be a non event due to the lack of daylight ...... and warm water.
See you there !!

stocker working at the moment lol
Hehe your not wrong ! That stocker earned you a brilliant win over the 30laps, we all enjoyed watching you get that win mate :first:
and another 3rd in the championship, time for a push for the top step next year !
Congratulations again to Nick taking that North Island Championship with some fast and clever racing over the season on a good looking GPR machine .
Will (MK11 Ford) Did a good job getting 2nd in the championship, Struggling with the new track and the wet conditions, all good learning conditions for the years to come and next seasons Big tracks !
Im sure lots of people were thinking the riders briefing was extreme standing in the rain doing a track walk but I think its the BEST training at a race meeting I've ever seen anywhere ! And the flag marshaling idea is here to stay, It worked so well and we Finnish on time because of it .
Next years North Island series is going to be a cracker, Rock on December
