Hi everyone
Just wondering if you could help me with identifying this frame. Hopefully I have managed to attach the photo to this thread.
This is my first time posting on this forum so trying to get the hang of it.
Previously I have restored a 1942 Military Harley and a 1920 Harley Model F
Would appreciate your help with this. I am assuming it's British pre war, single cylinder and maybe side valve ?
Thanks

1946ish Velocette MAC 350. They had that cast bottom section as a bash plate on their MAF (military model) and continued to use them until stocks ran out post war....your welcome:yes:

I might be able to help with some engine bits but not a gearbox. It would have had an iron barrel and head, these changed to alloy in 1952. PM me and I might be able to help or put you onto a friend who has a heap of Velo bits who might help. Webb girder forks are getting hard to get though.

I am told that I don't have enough forum use to be able to PM yet.
Any chance you could email me - -email removed-

Your next purchase will need to be a milling machine and lathe, seems all Velocette owners are Engineers.;)

...not entirely true...I'm have rudimentary engineering skills and most of them involve a hammer...

Victory make a model called a Hammer - save yourself a lot of bother and purchase one of them.

Lack of the former leads to more of the latter.
I have bugger all skills, fortunately BMW's are like Lego and easy to play with.:niceone:
