Stuff gets it completely wrong as usual... this is why the Road Code says that you approach a Give Way at a speed such that you can stop.

This guy couldn't stop.

I would have posted in Bike Crash Vids but for some reason I keep being redirected to NothingToxic, bloody computers.

I'm struggling to work out what part Stuff got 'completely wrong'.

Going on about it being awesome. How it's a win, etc etc... No.

Bike's obviously got serious damage and this dude very nearly got mashed.

Well, ignoring the 'win' compilation remarks, which are just crap reporting, they have got one bit massively wrong.

Mr Peter Van Der Bullschuit with the camera said it was a home security cam. What a crock. The camera pans across as the bike slides through the intersection, not to mention wobbles. That isn't a mounted cam, it's in his hand.

The two guys know each other and were trying to film the biker doing a stoppie. Except he fucked it.

Coaching opportunity:
Reporters: Guy said this, so it must be true.
Journalists: Guy said this, but it doesn't stack up. We asked a few people, put 2 and 2 together and it strongly suggests that THIS happened instead.

There Stuff, that'll be $100 per character in consultancy fees.

Do you think that maybe it's being recorded on a handheld device while being played back on a TV?

You're on to something there. Wasn't my interpretation, but looking again with that point of view, yep, that seems right.

Too quick to judge, maybe?

I'd better go get my meds. (Special brew anti-anger coffee)

Creative Writing 101

Your task is to write creatively how you would describe "what, why, how, when" this incident happened as you saw it depicted in the video.

This piece of writing will be graded A to E. Criteria will be the usual KB criteria - the better the story the higher the grade.

Reason for this task? Doubtful if the truth will ever be forthcoming...

Given the biker ran away leaving the bike would suggest the bike was stolen. May be the headline should read "The one that got away". Prick.

Unless you're an immortal demon that has stolen a mortals body, I think this goes even beyond that.

the bit that says "his" motorbike, it's a straight bit of road only ten houses long 160meters according to google earth, surely the person who did that big a fuck up on a fine day actually owns the bike and knows it's characteristics....

The house dead opposite should have been a bit of a clue that there was a T intersection in front of him.

It could have been any one of us if brake failure had been the cause.

Can we be sure that another bike didn't go through just seconds before the footage started and this twat wasn't just pushing too hard to keep up in order to get his share of delicious Iams cat food?

If brake failure had been the cause he'd have T boned the house opposite and never come near the van....

Tell me, Cassina, how would you put a bike down with total brake failure ?

Looks to me like he was trying to turn left, realised he was going way too fast, straightened up, braked too hard and fell off.

In similar fashion to the myriad of others she has put down, with total ineptitude

Clearly (without even knowing anything about the incident and what was going on moments prior) One could summarise any amount of scenarios to fit what they see on a video clip. This thread reads like a 'Caption This' thread.

How come Cassina has such prominent pink bits?

Any hoo, "brake failure" says Noddy, "get off the lawn" said Big Ears. "Your a knob, Noddy" added Big Ears, "the front wheel locked up". Noddy took his hat off and started to tell Big Ears how his mother earned money on the internet when Mr Plod turned up with pepper spray, and a towie from Mr Golly's garage. Just in time to stop the two friends from pezzeling the snot out of each other.
