Massive Manawatu Weekend.

Weather played ball all weekend, while there were a few spills; there were plenty of tired smiling bods at the end of today.

Good number of entries and great battles throughout all the classes.

All the action will be on Ctas with the gentle voice of Spyda...

As per normal; if you where there and have feedback - please email the committee via the website.
We want to know your reactions and thoughts.

Well done Sloan Frost, i went and asked him if he could go a little quicker as he was 60 thousnads of a second off the F1 lap record, he did and posted a new formula one lap record of, 1.05.375
i went and congratulated him and then he packed up and went home, the outright lap record was just 32 thou quicker which is the superbike lap record, dunno whether he knew that as he may have got that too. Shane richardson went with about 80 thou of F2 one, but his tyre wasn't up to a better time.
Big scalps to score on a mis year meeting i reckon

Hey Spider, just watched the video back. Thanks for the commentary and giving me a bit of a carrot to chase. Was a great weekend, most fun I have had in a while. VMCC did really well to get through so many races and they seem to be well organised. The guy on the pit call ups was a bit of a legend

The online entry works so well that even I was able to use it without swearing at/assaulting the lap top.

Done and dusted.

We almost got away with no rain (given what hit down the coast).

The club is stoked with the turnout. Great numbers in all the classes & some seriously epic battles; which look to continue for the rest of the season.

Congrats to those that braved the wet races at the end of the day.

Note: no round in July.

Ok MetService didn't quite get it right. While the entries were down with the wet weather; there were some great racing throughout the day.

Senior Trophy - Redpath Shelters
Coming into the round - 16 points separating 1st to 3rd (Jamie Maindonald, Rogan Chandler, Jay Lawrence).
Jamie dominated in the wet taking three from three extending his lead. Rogan battled hard and showed class on his 675 to take three second places.
With Jay unable to attend (slipping to forth) and Ashton Hughes stepping in to third in the championship - showing class in the wet with two thirds.
The championship remains tight heading into the final round.

Intermediate Trophy (16 confirmed) - CTAS
Coming into the round 25 points separating 1st to 4th (Richard Markham-Barrett, Roger Cathro, John Medlin, Richard Ban).
Championship leader Richard Markham-Barrett suffered mechanical issues. Roger Catho On his new toy took two from three wins. John Medlin kept everyone honest with two thirds and a second. Eddie K and Malcolm McDonald featuring in the points.
Championship leader is Roger, John then Richard M-B.

Junior trophy (22 confirmed entries) - Kiwibike Insurance
26 point separating 1st to 3rd (Leon Jacobs, Campbell Greyling, Keiren O'Neill).
Junior class saw some great battles throughout the day. Race one was the highlight with Shayne Lawery and Rhy Lindsay swapping the lead and paint in shocking conditions. Rhy's little 150 not quite having the power to keep out Shaynes KTM.
Championship leader Leon Jacobs switching bikes for this round moving to a 250 production bike maintains a small lead, Shaynes two from three steps him into second in the championship and Campbell Greyling a very close third.

A number of new riders have taken the step into racing and the junior class is growing every round.

While round three was wet, everyone was smiling and enjoying the racing.

Final round in September followed with prize giving.
More into to come.
