Just like to say a big thank you to all Riders and Crews for yesterdays highly successful day.We have always looked at you crazy people at meetings thinking hell I wouldn't mind a spin on one of those haha.We thought the wise decision might be to start on a classic then work up to an F1 machine.Somehow we got sucked into going straight out on #17 Spikes one with a bit of advice from the guys we were off.The first thing that I noticed was the G forces that are trying to throw you off .Quickly the 3 laps were over and we came in buzzing and wondering how the hell you could last 6 laps of an actual race !!!.Then I went on the Lawrance machine then the Lovell one and then a final go back on the first one.Still buzzing and cant wait for the next one cheers all

I also had a go yesterday and also couldn't believe how the g forces were and how hard physically it was for just 3 laps. I have always had admiration for the guys that race these machines and that has gone up immensely after yesterday.
I had a ride on a couple of classic machines and loved it.
Thank you to all involved, what a fantastic day.

This thread is covering the same ground as the one in the events forum.
Can we whistle up a mod to merge them?

Yes, that was really good fun. Thanks to all riders and crews from me, too. You guys must have had a really long day there. Hope you also got a bit of fun out of taking all the muggles around the track.

if anybody would like to join the NZSRA (you don't have to own or compete on a sidecar, just have an interest) they can contact me on here.

there are also T shirts available for purchase.
