New foreigner!

Hi everybody!

I'm Daniel, I am new here in the forum and in the country. :rolleyes: Actually looking for a bike, I used to ride a Suzuki GN250 and then a Kawasaki Z750 wich I really enjoyed for five years. Anyway, new country and the next step for me is new bike :cool: I am looking for something suitable for both commuting and travelling and I was thinking on a SV1000S o something similar. I am also in the issue of buying new gear again so advice about stores (online or physical) are welcome.

Hope to meet people here and go for a ride and also learn more

There are a lot of bike shops in Auckland. Some of them even on the same road (Barry's Point Rd)

TradeMe (http://http://www.trademe.co.nz)(similar to ebay) is also a good place to find a bike.

If you want to meet people, go for a ride and learn something, look up NASS (North Auckland Street Skills) or SASS (South Auckland Street Skills) here in the forum. As I understand, those groups meet regularly.

Training courses are pretty affordable here in NZ as they are highly subsidised. Have a look here for that, for example: http://www.prorider.co.nz
