Hi there!
I just moved from Canada to NZ, originally from Croatia. Been on the bike more than 10 years and now looking for one here.
If you have any advice for me please feel to tell me.
I have a question, i saw motorcycles passing between cars. Is that legal or every one has been doing.
Thanks

And I been looking for scooter or small motorcycle for a first hand to help me with Auckland traffic.

Riding between traffic is legal here...to a point.

Stopped or slow moving traffic may be overtaken down the middle. You're meant the stay on the left hand side of the road markings, and as long as you're not riding like a cunt people will give you enough room to do it.

As helpful as ever. Go back to sleep or toking or wanking or whatever it is you do.

both, actually.

But your a mod.. Perhaps you could make the search function larger for scooterboys, or make newbs have to click through three search page before they can post anything.
...And if they still manage to post shit, their avater is changed to a floppy cock and their username to "too stupid to use the internet"

There is a thread about Filtering/splitting on here - the Abridged version is that it isn't expressly illegal to filter, there are a couple parts of the Land Transport Act that with some liberal interpretation allow Splitting/Filtering.

I commute everyday on a 'Busa, and most of that is Filtering. Most of the Motorcycle cops over here have told me that they use a guideline of no filtering above 50 kph and you should never have a speed difference between the traffic and you of greater than 20 kph - that said I've gone pootling passed marked and unmarked police cars faster than that - the general rule of thumb is so long as you aren't riding like an idiot, Most Cops will leave you be.

Thank you for explaining that. Because in Europe we split lanes a lot and it is illegal. You will get the ticket if the cop see you.
In Canada is illegal as well, ticket is extremely high and nobody does that.
