Hey, i'm looking at getting my first leathers after using textiles for adventure riding for many years --- has anyone dealt with/bought the CityRide made to order leathers? they sell from trademe and build to measure and look to be at a very reasonably priced?
eg: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/helmets-clothing-footwear/jacket-pant-sets/auction-1080340233.htm
anyone have experience with these? or should I go for something more mainstream like axo?

I have some mates who would give me absolute stick about riding in Auckland dressed like that:no:

haha, you can chose the colour / they have many styles that they tailor suit to you by the looks, that's just an example they're all the same cost ~$500
but really not interested in how they look but how they fit/protect from someone who's gave them a shot!

At that price you will be getting cheap Pakistani leathers. Yeah he will measure you up but don't think you are getting custom made. I'm certainly not being picky as I have a set myself organised through KB back in the day... They are OK though (what size are ya - can cut you a deal lol)
I prefer 2 piece for everyday stuff though - much easier...
I can get you following jackets and full suits in a very cheap price. Let me know if interested. For surprise price, drop me a message

100% authentic imitation brand.
There was a Repsol Honda Jacket for sale years ago and it had the H logo on it as in the car.
Dainese D-Air suit? Oh really...? Please tell me more?

100% authentic imitation brand.
Don't mock - you have no idea how many authentic imitations they had to skin to make those suits...

Righto, so "custom made leathers" for around $500 huh? Maybe a quick whip around with the common sense collection jar is in order...the OP seems be running low :innocent:

No they will be custom made but in a set (ish) pattern and to the std size closest to your measurements. They 'sort of' fit. Biggest issue is joining thick leather and that can make them a bit awkward.
From memory I paid well under $500 a few tomato seasons back and its a stunning bit of kit for the price...
Found that laughable Repsol Jacket.. be aware of bad copy's.

Sellers feed back is very good.
