I was up most of the night for the 2015 races. Incredible racing, and the slipstreaming in the long straight was amazing on the helicopter footage.

I seem to have missed this thread and posted one of my own. Sorry for the double up! Though I don't know if the link here is to the 'iplayer'?
Possibly another option/avenue to check?

pathetic coverage for a meeting of that level! Johnston overshoots, big drama, where was the replay, where was the timing screen, no where , where was the mention of the second wave? once the winner was in one flashback to start line for another couple of bikes then back to the fucking pits......
this is 2016 not 1995.

Every year about this time I think the same thing. Bloody hell, road racing is something special!
Cheers for the link.:niceone:

Ain't it the truth. I would love to gave MotoGP quality coverage here. Still better than Coronation Street though.

I gave up after the start of the Supertwins race so lucky not to see the crash.

As did I. Road racing can be a nasty game.
One real frustration with the BBC coverage - as Jellywrestler said - is the lack of any timing and position info, as well as the pinhole view of riders. In the helicopter shots you may see one rider and not know who or where he is.
As an aside. The closing speed they get in a slipstream is dramatic. One minute you have a reasonable gap then nek minnit someone steams past you at a horrific rate of knots. :eek5:

ouch, MMT and Billy Redmayne have both ridden the cemetery circuit in recent years, and both gone in such a short time, bit close to home....
